The current headquarters are in via Sant'Abbondio, 4 in Como and the catchment area includes Lombardy and Italian Switzerland. Expansion TV was born in Como in January 1982, on the initiative of Maurizio Giunco and Felice Bernasconi, its first channel from which it radiates its signal is UHF 68.
TV expansion at first repeats the programs of Telenova, then repeat those of Telecity Lombardy.
In 1983 the broadcaster also acquired the UHF channel 46 and 66 and expanded its catchment area, began its own programming with a local news program (Etg, Tele Giornale expansion), basketball matches, films, TV series, Como Calcio matches.
